Colorado

It's September 1, 2015. Here I sit in Colorado Springs with my sweet little baby lying on the couch next to me. It's in the 70s outside and feels like fall.

Our sweet Korra was born on July 2,2014. She has brought so much joy and healing to our family. She lights up every room. She was brought into the world via c section after 40 hours of unsuccessful labor, a bad epidural and a lot of trauma (for mom, not her). She had a fever when she was born and was taken to the nicu for some recovery. Letting her go in there was so hard. I've never let them take any of my kids to the nursery.

Beautiful creature

This was the best

Mom's recovery was slow And painful, but she pulled through okay.

We had a super Halloween!
Super Halloween!

Beautiful babies <3 td="">

Christmas was spectacular.

I think she was trying to eat him

We thought we had it all. :)

In January I lost my job of 3 1/2 years very suddenly and we were faced with a life changing decision: we could use my severance and see how long we could stay afloat in San Tan Valley, or we could pack up our world and follow our dreams to the mountains. So, we decided to follow our dreams.

Right after the decision was made, Tye was in a horrible accident that, while fortunately not causing injury, totaled his car. We were weeks away from leaving the state and had to begin the process of finding a new car and battling with insurance companies.

RIP, acura

Thankfully, Tye's grandparents were ready to sell their vehicle and we were more than happy to give it a new home.

We packed up our whole world...kids, furniture, household and all...even Josh decided to join us!
Half a housefull!

The day we finally got our things back!

And we moved to Colorado. We spent a month living in a friends basement while trying to find a house in the Denver area, but eventually settled in Colorado Springs in April.

We found a beautiful home in northern Colorado Springs in a great school district and have settled in really well. We've adjusted to snow in May, hail all summer and beautiful grass and trees.

So excited to see this again!

We have an amazing garden growing in the backyard and can't wait to do better next year.

We celebrated Korra's First Birthday in style :)

And here we are...Leah and Connor are both in High School. Xander is in Middle School.

Lynette has achieved her dream of working in the Massage Therapy field by finally passing her MBLEx and obtaining her Colorado Massage Therapy license. She will also be starting work with Apple in less than 2 weeks!

Tye was working for a contracting company for Verizon and was just miserable and has recently begun working for a company called Today's Health Care. They grow and distribute Medical Marijuana for patients in the state of Colorado. He is working in one of their greenhouses and is learning a lot about the industry and loving every second of it.

It has by no means been an easy year, but all our hard work and persistence is starting to pay off. We are so looking forward to the next year...or 20!

LOVE COLORADO!
